Let the Veggies Sprout!

I'm super excited to be planting a veggie garden this year - it's been over 10 years since I last had one, and I was a teen so really not into all the maintenance it required. But my in-laws have given the green light and we'll be building a raised bed in the backyard.

I started some seeds yesterday, with two differing opinions on whether some should be started indoors or not. I say, we'll see how it goes - I have plenty of seeds left if they don't work out so well!

The Garden Begins
I've planted sugar snap peas, bush beans and cucumber, along with garlic chives, cilantro, basil and rosemary. And plan to add some carrots, radishes, spinach and tomatoes when we can plant outside.

I may also add some radish seeds to grow some radish sprouts for sandwiches. I love sprouts! My favorite are sunflower... maybe those would be worth trying too?

And of of course, I couldn't work alone. It was a beautiful sunny day, if not a bit chilly, and both the dog and cat came out to supervise the action.
